Play areas: A Fun Way to Nurture Baby's Skills
Here are some advantages of baby playing in play areas:
> Play allows children to use their creativity while developing their imagination, dexterity, and physical, cognitive, and emotional strength
> Play is important to healthy brain development. It is through play that children at a very early age engage and interact in the world around them.
>Play can help kids work on motor skills they wouldn’t have the opportunity for during indoor play, such as climbing, swinging, balancing and jumping.
>Play can stimulate early brain development by providing the child with a better understanding of the world and setting the groundwork for later brain growth.
>Play can help kids get the vitamin D they need for strong bones, a healthy immune system, improved mood and better sleep by exposing them to sunlight.
But there must be some precautions as well like:
> Never leave children alone outside. Supervise them at all times and teach them not to play near the street or to ask for help if toys roll into the street or driveway.
>Check the outdoor play area routinely and remove any hazards such as trash, sharp branches, tools, lawn equipment, animal feces, electrical appliances, gas grills, and poisonous plants.
>Protect children from sun and heat. Keep children in the shade and encourage wearing wide-brimmed hats, sunglasses, and clothes that cover their arms and legs. Use sunscreen with an SPF of 15 or higher on any exposed skin and reapply every 2 hours or more often if sweating or in water. Provide plenty of water and avoid playing during the hottest part of the day.
>Encourage responsible conduct by instructing kids to utilize play structures and equipment as intended and discouraging actions like pushing, climbing on dangerous areas, or rough play that could cause mishaps or injuries.
*Keep in mind that these safety precautions are only suggestions; exact safety factors may change depending on the layout, dimensions, and location of the play area. To create a safe place for kids to play, it's critical to follow municipal rules and guidelines for playground safety.
